Breakfast stottie.
Take one 8" diameter roll, add Cumberland sausage, bacon, fried eggs and fried beans and the result is om nom nom.

Don’t forget the ensuing triple bypass.

Have I told you I love you lately?
How did the codgers from “Summer Wine” make it as long as they did with these temptations?

There is a place near Harrogate, Yorkshire, we used to go to every year to attend ambulance exhibitions and conferences, that sold a proper breakfast stootie with sausages, bacon, eggs, beans, tomatoes, mushrooms and black pudding.
I guess the irony was we were all ambulance techs, etc... going to an ambulance exhibition on new rescue techniques and to buy new equipment but in a way killing ourselves on the way.

Lol.
Lots of tea and biscuits.
(I had a couple of cups of tea last night and it was amazing)

I’m curious on the bread and beans. The beans look like “Boston” beans. I want to make this next weekend.

The beans are simply Heinz baked beans (which I believe aren’t the same as ours in the U.K.). You take the pan you used to fry the bacon or the eggs, cut up a slice of bacon into small pieces and fry off, add a couple of tablespoons per person to the bacon and keep stirring on a medium-high heat, add a touch of black pepper and keep stirring till the sauce has thickened and then serve either on a stottie or with a fried breakfast, goes great on fried bread (add some fat to a small pan, able a tablespoon should do it, place in a slice of bread and then turn it off so the fat is absorbed equally on both sides, now fry on a medium heat till nicely caramelised over the whole surface, turn over and repeat. You want golden rather than bronze in colour as the darker the colour the crisper it will be and it’ll just disintegrate as soon as the put a knife and fork too it. lightly golden will give you a firm textured outer and a nice soft inner, perfect for conveying food stuffs to your mouth).

I know I’ve posted this in response to your breakfasts before, but it bears repeating:
“Ow, my arteries.”
Seriously, this is like, a once every few weeks treat, right? Not the usual morning routine?
Signed,
A guy who eats a protein bar and a banana for breakfast most mornings

For me that works nights it’s a grey area of breakfast/dinner. I finish at 6am and don’t go to bed till about 11am/12pm time after I’ve had a nice chill down with something to eat and a bit of TV.
It can vary from a couple of packets of pasta and sauce, a proper Italian meal, a good fry up or even just a couple of beers.

Let’s just say that your style of cooking and mine are perhaps in pursuit of different goals. ;)

Hey man, that all looks tasty.
Quite often what I have is my main meal as the rest of the day is possibly two small snacks at work.
